How do I place an order?
- Browse the website and add any items that you want to purchase, click the quantity and click Add to Cart
- After you have added the last item that you want to purchase, click Proceed to Checkout
- Log in to your existing account or create a new account
- Enter the shipping address
- Select the shipping method that you want to use for delivery of your order
- Enter the payment type
- Enter the credit card details, if you are paying by MasterCard or Visa
- Review your order details and click Submit Order if you are paying by credit card. If you are purchasing using your PayPal account follw the below instructions.
- If you are paying using your PayPal account, log into your account, ensure the order details are correct and submit the payment
How do I know if an item I ordered is on back order ?
Most of the products listed on our website are held in stock. However, generally we do not accept back orders for products that are out of stock. Our Customer Service staff will telephone or email you advising the status of your order and request if you would like us to place the item on our back order list.
Orders can be cancelled or changed if they have not been shipped. Please be aware that orders are generally shipped within 7 to 14 working days if in stock. It is therefore advisable to call us on our toll free number 1300 388 774 as soon as possible if you have changed your mind.
How can I check the status of my order online ?
You can follow the status of your order by logging into the My Account section of our website. Once your order has been picked by our warehouse, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address your have provided. The email will provide you with all the necessary instructions including an eParcel tracking number. This will allow you to track your order with Australian Post eParcel Service. You can also track your order on-line once it has been shipped at www.eparcel.com.au.
Can I place an order from a foreign country?
You can place an order from overseas, however orders can only be shipped to an Australian postal address. If you require the order to be shipped overseas then additional cost will be incured.
Payment Information
What forms of payment are accepted ?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners and PayPal.
How do I pay with PayPal ?
You will be transferred directly to your PayPal account once your order details are confirmed. PayPal payments can be in the form of credit cards, your PayPal account balance or a bank account linked directly to your PayPal account.
When is my credit card charged ?
When you place an order using a credit card, the total dollar amount is authorised by your credit card company at the time of your purchase. Once this amount is authorised, your credit card will be debited. The total amount of the order and the funds held in a secure authorised funds account. The order is then processed and fully billed when it is shipped from our warehouse. Only then are the authorised funds submitted to our authorised merchant account.
If you place an order and change your mind before the order is shipped, the order can be cancelled and the funds will be held in our authorised funds account. However, they will automatically expire after 7 days and be refunded to your credit card. This is standard practice for most online retailers.
If your credit card is declined when you are placing an order then your order is automatically cancelled.
Is my credit card and account information secure ?
Home Addiction is a safe and secure site. We have advanced SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption and authentication software in place to ensure that your credit card and account details remain secure. We also operate under the guidelines of the data protection act and will not release any private information to any third party.
Gift Certificates
Can I purchase a gift certificate online ?
Gift certificates can be purchased and the recipient specified. Recipients of gift certificates will receive an email with a link to the store and a code that they will need to apply to the gift certificate, when they place an order. Gift certificates are always sold as electronic items. However, they can also be mailed to the recipient, please note that standard mailing costs apply. Please make sure you advise us when purchasing, as generally gift certificateand are never shipped as physical goods.
How do I redeem a gift certificate ?
Generally, the total amount of the gift certificate is applied with the first purchase, However the amount remaining is displayed with your order confirmation, and the certificate code can be used.
Is there an expiration date for gift certificates ?
With all of our gift certificate we do not inforce an expiry date. It is our belief that a gift cerificate is as good as a normal sale.
What if I lose the details of a gift certificate ?
You must treat all gift certificates like cash, they are non-transferable and non-refundable. If you lose the details of a gift certificate, we may be able to re-issue you with the certificate code. Please email us at sales@homeaddiction.com.au with your details and we will get back in touch with you as soon as possible.
Miscellaneous
Can items be gift wrapped ?
We do offer a gift wrapping service on most of our products. Please note: Gift packaging is not available on heavy or large items. The products are elegantly wrapped in a plain glossy paper and matched with a ribbon and bow that is in tune with our corporate colours. We do however charge $6.50 per wrapped item and can also include a gift message that can be included with items. These messages can be specified during checkout/payment.
Are rebates and redemptions available ?
Occasionally we offer special offers of cash back or free gifts which are mainly promoted by our product manufacturers. Please note that we are not responsible for the fulfilment of these offers, and any such items will need to be claimed direct from the manufacturers.
